Requirements For The Car Rental And Insurance Coverages

REQUIREMENTS

Due to Mexican regulations we will require: 1.-Driver must be over 25 years of age. 2.-Driver must hold a valid driver's license. 3.-Leave an open deposit, equivalent to 10% of the total value of the car (it must be with a credit card; visa or mastercard)

MANDATORY INSURANCE COVERAGE

We care for our costumer's safety and wellbeing; therefore all vehicles includes insurance. Our policies cover: 1.-Collision Damage 2.-Theft 3.-Liability 4.-Legal assistance 5.-Medical expenses

Our insurance is only valid within the State of Jalisco and those surrounding it: Colima, Michoacan, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas and Nayarit. If an accident occurs, the deductible fee will become a mandatory payment to be absorbed by the client. This amount corresponds to the same sum left as a deposit.

DEPOSIT

Credit Card (visa or mastercard)    At the moment you take the car, the deductible will be frozen on a credit card by a process called "check in" which it means that we only freeze that amount,  it is not charged. And at the moment of returning the car , the amount on the credit card will be unfrozen and if there is no problem with the car , the amount of rent would be charged by a process called "check out" either with the same credit card or cash.

ADVICE

In case the credit card is from a foreign country we recommend that you call your bank to let them know that you are going to be using it out of country. This is because some credit cards have a security lock that will not allow the use in other countries without letting the bank know ahead of time.
